Troubleshooting
The buttons don’t do anything in PushPlay
In Gaming Mode, press STEAM while PushPlay is open → Controller settings → set the layout to Gamepad.
“Close Steam first” or “Steam didn’t close”
Quit Steam from its tray icon (bottom-right of the desktop), wait a few seconds, then paste the command again.
How do I update?
You don’t need to. PushPlay downloads new versions in the background and switches on the next launch. Running the install command again also updates it.
How do I quit a game?
Hold Start + Select for 1.5 seconds in a web game to open the pause menu. In a native game, hold them for 3 seconds to close it, or use the game’s own menu or Steam’s.
How do I uninstall?
Remove the PushPlay shortcut from Steam, then delete ~/Applications/PushPlay.AppImage. Games and settings live in ~/.local/share/pushplay and ~/.config/pushplay.
